“So…how did it go?”
Right now you either love or dread this question.
I am thrilled to report that the nonprofits that have been working with Zion Consulting for at least a year and robustly following the Zion Model LOVE this question. On average our clients exceeded their year-end goals by 25%—now THAT is a January board meeting you are excited to have!
I’ll ask you again…how did it go?
January is campaign autopsy time and for fundraisers is as summer for teachers. The pressure lifts, the walls open up a little, and it’s time to take stock. What went right, what went sideways, and what…didn’t go. Some of you finished the year thrilled and encouraged, and some of you are sober about the results of your year-end efforts.
During my time leading the development activity for a nonprofit, there were two times a year that I was thinking deep thoughts about how to best prepare for, execute, and land a successful year-end campaign: August and January.
Newer clients to the Zion Team are already asking: “When is the next campaign? Do we have to be ready in February?” Wizened old clients are resting easy, knowing that February is ALL about Donor Love and Loyalty building.
HINT — paid subscribers have access to the entire 52-week plan I use. You'll see what I mean about February. It's all in the archives!
If you are in review mode, maybe it would be helpful to take a peek at my plan and see how it lines up with what you did or didn’t do—so I am going to send it again for all of our new subscribers so it’s fresh in your inbox.
Take a peek. And if you want to accelerate this year, exciting stuff is on the way. The Zion Consulting Team is about to launch some new tools to augment your efforts, including LIVE group coaching sessions! Stay tuned!
